How much does it cost to list my court?
Listing your court is absolutely free. The Private Court Club charges 10% commission on all bookings.
How much should I charge per hour?
It’s totally up to you however we recommend a minimum of £20 per hour for tennis courts and £40 per hour for padel courts, depending on location and additional facilities such as loos, changing rooms etc.
What facilities do I need to provide?
Just a well-maintained court and somewhere to park. However if you provide additional facilities (eg rackets, balls, loos and changing facilities) and/or you live within an area of high demand (eg London and the South East), you could justify charging more.
Who can make a booking?
Any member of the public can request a booking through the website, however requests can be accepted or rejected by owners prior to confirmation.
How soon can I start renting my court?
All listings are checked and approved by The Private Court Club before going live. This can take a few days. If any additional information is needed, a member of the team will be in touch.
What if I need to cancel a booking?
If you have accepted a booking but need to cancel, please contact a member of our team. We can cancel the booking and issue a full refund on your behalf as long as the booking period hasn’t started.
Do I need to be there?
No, but it’s entirely your choice. You will have the opportunity to message players in advance of their booking with further details including directions and any specific entry requirements.
Do I need additional insurance cover?
All court owners should have public liability insurance. The Private Court Club has a zero tolerance policy regarding the damage or misuse of courts. If a booking results in mess or damage to your property, please contact a member of the team immediately.
Do I need to apply for planning permission/change of use?
No, but we recommend you inform your local council and insurer of your intention to rent your court.
What are the club rules?
The Private Court Club upholds the values of trust and integrity and operates a two-way review system to reinforce this. We ask our players to be respectful of owners’ private property and to leave the court and facilities the same way they found them. Any antisocial behaviour, mess or damage should be reported and The Private Court Club reserves the right to ban players from the club.

Is there a membership fee?
There is no membership or subscription fee. Simply register to make a booking.
How much does it cost to book a court?
The price per hour is set by the court owner depending on the type of court, location and additional facilities. The Private Court Club charges a 10% service fee for each booking.
Do I need my own rackets and balls?
The court listing should detail if rackets and balls are included in the court hire. In most cases, it is advisable to bring your own.
How will I find the court?
The owner will be in touch with any specific directions and further details in advance of your booking.
Is parking provided?
All our listings include parking for at least one car. Please check listing details and/or contact the owner if you require parking for more than one car.
What happens if I need to cancel?
If the owner has accepted your booking but you need to cancel, please contact a member of our team. A full refund can be be issued as long as the booking period hasn’t started.
Do I need insurance?
Players should have sports accident insurance to cover personal injury as a precaution. This costs in the region of £30 per annum.
